Jonathan Fitas — “Leap of Faith”

Leap of faith is jonathan fitas’s ep — the record of leaving paris for the countryside, and of what music sounds like when nothing rushes it. For years he composed at night, letting emotions gather without naming them, until the only option left was to jump.

Music you can breathe in, where tension doesn’t explode but slowly transforms you.

Piano, strings and synthesizers — simple materials carrying that movement between stillness and vastness. Some pieces unfold in layers, others hold to a single fragile thread. flow carries the nostalgia of youth; radiance is brighter, almost a prayer to what we can’t control; searching for tora, written after losing the family cat, is a small ritual of mourning.

The ep was shaped by a new place — their home in normandy, which became studio, refuge and residency, and where maison mujō itself emerged, in the quiet and the woods, far from paris. Cover art hand-made by sophia vesna; released march 21, 2025 with whales records.
